💡 OptiSat Tip: When updating your receiver, perform a manual transponder scan rather than relying exclusively on an automatic network scan.
This is particularly useful for channels that have moved to new frequencies or returned after temporary interruptions.
FTA hunters should pay particular attention to Badr 8, Eutelsat 8 West B, Eutelsat 9B, Express AM6 and TurkmenÄlem / MonacoSat.
The two most notable new FTA additions are Libya G+ on Eutelsat 8 West B at 8°W and Sika TV on Badr 8 at 26°E.
Biz Music changed from Free-To-Air to encrypted transmission. It is now reported as using Conax and Cryptoguard on TurkmenÄlem / MonacoSat at 52°E.
Lion 1 TV, NAB TV, GS Channel, IITV HD and Sky Action HD were reported as returning after breaks.
Zad TV moved to 11449.41 MHz H, DVB-S2, SR 27500, FEC 3/4.
A manual scan allows you to target the exact transponder and is useful when a receiver's automatic network scan has not yet updated its transponder database.
